This half-day tour visits the most famous important temple in Chiang Mai known as Wat Phra That Doi Suthep that is situated on Suthep Mountain. Then visit a Meo hill tribe to observe their simple way of life.
1. 9:00 a.m. Departure from 137 Pillars House.
2. 9:40a.m. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. At 1,053 metres (3,456 ft) above sea level, the most famous and important temple in Chiang Mai offers expansive views over the city. Climb the 300 stairs, flanked on each side by a “naga” (mythical serpent), or ride in a tram to reach the temple. The temple has several beautifully decorated buildings as well as a museum and a Lanna-style chedi covered with engraved and gilded plates flanked by four ornamental umbrellas.
3. 10:40 a.m. Stop at Baan Tong Luang village, new settlement of comprising four different tribes including Karen, Lahu(big ear), Palong and Padaung.
4. 01:00p.m. Return to 137 Pillars House.
