1. 9:00 a.m. Departure from 137 Pillars House.
2. 9:40 a.m. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most famous and important temple in Chiang Mai with expansive views over the city.
3. 11:00 a.m. Visit Wat Umong, a 700-year-old Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai, the temple was built in 1297 by King Manglai of the Lanna dynasty. The entire Wat Umong complex consists of 37.5 rai (15 acres) of wooded grounds. You can feed the fish, turtles and ducks found in a large pond there. “Talking trees” have words of wisdom in Thai and English. The wat is famous for its ancient tunnels and large stupa. There are tunnels with Buddhist images below the chedi that can be easily explored.
4. 12: 30 p.m. Return to 137 Pillars House.
